Narcissists are Cowards because anyone that would do anything to hide their wrong doings and is not be brave enough to tell the truth is a coward.

They hide the truth from the world in-order to keep themselves safe.

The reason they do this is because a Narcissist has to keep his image of being the good person and of being always the victim.

That safeguards him from facing his imperfections which is the exact thing that made him a Narcissist in the first place in his early years.

A coping mechanism created for survival.

No matter how bad or damaging his behaviour is to others, even though he understands it is harmful, he can’t allow himself to accept and search within to eventually become a better person.

That’s why Narcissists are doomed to be living the same circle again and again and again.

So we can say that they are cowards when we objectively evaluate their actions but subjectively they are just incapable of inner evaluation.

You have to understand that a Narcissist has constructed a semblance of “self” that is not real.

They have been propping this “self” up for many years.

They have extremely fragile egos, they are excruciatingly insecure and often feel painfully inadequate.

They are deeply wounded individuals who can’t come to terms with who they are and what has happened to them to cause the trauma in the first place.

They hide in the dark.

Because they have made it a lifelong pursuit to stay hidden, they lack the courage to face their fear of being exposed to the light.

The threat of exposure causes them extreme anxiety.

Image is everything to the Narcissist and they have spent their whole life perfecting and shaping it.

To have that compromised or the curtain pulled to expose them for who they are would be devastating and more than they could bear.
